From three grandkids

We weren't trying to build a product. We just wanted to take care of our grandparents. We saw our grandparents struggle in different ways due to a lack of care and support, even though our families were giving their all.

So, we started designing Sam as college students at Columbia University, carefully crafting and shipping the first version from our grandma's house in San Francisco.

Our grandparents loved us into this moment, and loved us into who we are today. We created Sam as a way of giving back to them, as a way of staying connected with them, and as a way of keeping them safe, happy, and healthy.

Sam can also surf the web and share information, so your senior can access the internet without difficulty.

Thirdly, Sam has reminders, so seniors never miss a day of medication or a family dinner.

Last but not least, Sam has real-time calling and messaging, so you can talk to your senior straight through Sam, removing the hassle of technology for your loved one and bringing the family together.

This is a beta version of Sam, but we're a small team that moves fast. If you want a feature added, we can usually ship it within the week.

Voice-first means that all the senior needs to do is talk to it. It's almost like a home smart assistant. Sam speaks 10 languages right now, including English and Chinese. If you speak a language that's not currently supported, just reach out and we'll add it for you. We want to make Sam the best experience possible for your family.

In later batches, we may opt to include a subscription, but our promise to you: by joining the Sam family now, you will be grandfathered and your Sam will forever be subscription-free.
